Additional State Healthcare Associations Endorse Nursing Home Family Educational Video Program

Several additional state health care associations have put their stamp of approval on Setting Realistic Expectations, the 15-minute educational video program designed to explain about the general level of care provided in a nursing home.

State associations in Nevada, Iowa, Maryland, Idaho, Vermont and Georgia have joined many others nationwide in endorsing the video program, and recommending members purchase copies to show during the admissions process, then give to families to share with other relatives and keep for future reference.

"We are pleased that these state health care associations, representing all parts and regions of the country have recognized the importance of educating families about the daily aspects of life in a long-term care setting," says Chip Kessler, Development Manager of Extended Care Products, Inc., the producers and developers of Setting Rrealistic Expectations.

"With nursing home litigation running rampant, these states have taken the lead in helping to protect their member facilites," says Kessler. "We are happy to be working with them, and look forward to sharing the benefits that effective family education brings."
