| Extended Care Products, Inc. Presents Educational Seminar at Annual Ohio Health Care Association Convention |
Extended Care Products, Inc., the leader in family educational video programs has expanded its involvement in the long-term care community with the development and presentation of a seminar based on the key points of the video, Setting Realistic Expectations. The seminar was delivered by Extended Care Products' Development Manager Chip Kessler in association with representatives of the nationally known risk management company LTC Alliance of Albuquerque, New Mexico. LTC Alliance President Richard Henry, a former nursing home administrator, and Vide President Valerie Stephenson, a licensed social worker presided over the seminar presented to an audience of social workers, who were members of the Ohio Health Care Association. The seminar was part of the annual Ohio Health Care Association Convention held in Columbus, Ohio.
"Our goal is to educate families and responsible parties to learn more about the daily aspects of life in a nursing home through our Setting Realistic Expectations video program," Kessler explains. "In addition, we want to work with those nursing home professionals who are directly involved with families that are having to deal with admitting a loved one into a long-term care facility.
Thus, we believe that by educating social workers, admissions coordinators, directors of nursing, and administrators to understand the benefits of educating families to know more about life in a nursing home, we can help these professionals work even better with those who have made the difficult decision to admit a relative or valued friend."
